Sumaq Pacha
From the peaks of the Andes to the forests of the Amazon: art jewelry and sculptures handmade by Karina Ticona Nava.

Christmas edition · Tiwanaku collection · Small series
Born from the stone at the centre
Taypiqala, “the stone at the centre”: the city where, the Andes say, the world was born. Five pairs of Limoges porcelain earrings take up its sacred geometry — the chakana, the cut stone, the weave — hand-modelled in Limoges, fired once at high temperature.

Sumaq Pacha · “Beautiful Earth”
One land, two territories: the mountain and the forest.
Sumaq Pacha means “Beautiful Earth” in an ancient language of the Andes — a name that whispers an origin, where time, soil and matter are one.
In Bolivia, this land has two faces. The jewelry is born of the Cordillera and the Altiplano; the sculptures, of the Amazon rainforest.
World I — The Andes
Jewelry
Cordillera, Altiplano, high-altitude lagoons: art jewelry in Limoges porcelain, heightened with fine gold or golden wire.

Memorias de la Tierra collection
The memory of oceans, at the top of the Andes
More than 2,000 meters above sea level, the Bolivian Altiplano holds the memory of ancient oceans. From this meeting of mountain and sea, Memorias de la Tierra was born.
Jewelry shaped by hand, glazed, then heightened with touches of gold. Each piece, in a limited edition with its certificate, becomes a mineral offering to Pachamama.

One-of-a-kind pieces and small series
The forest, living matter
In the Amazon rainforest, nothing is straight, nothing stands still.
From this teeming nature my sculptures are born: hybrid creatures in which the human, the plant and the animal learn to coexist. Forms that grow, coil and open…

Small series · Wawa

A small white porcelain spider on fine legs of translucent resin. Her body is shaped by hand in Limoges, in the image of the large sculpture Tactilimorphe.

The artist
An identity shaped by matter
I am Karina Ticona Nava, an artist born in Bolivia and trained between the Andes and Limoges.
My practice was born in sculpture, then took root in porcelain — a material of rigor, time and precision.
Between Bolivian memory and the French ceramic tradition, I create forms to wear and forms to contemplate: traces, reliefs, fragments of earth.
Craft
Nothing is delegated. Nothing is decorative.
Limoges porcelain
Shaped, sanded and glazed by hand in my studio in France.
Fine gold
A sacred metal in Andean cultures, tied to the sun: applied in touches, like an offering.
The time of fire
Several high-temperature firings. A process that cannot be rushed.
Limited edition
Small series; every piece comes with its certificate of authenticity.

Commitment
Preserving memory, extending the gesture
Every Sumaq Pacha creation is born of the earth and returns to it.
Through our collaboration with the research group CRUZIANA, a share of every creation supports the study and preservation of Bolivia’s paleontological heritage: traces, fragments, knowledge threatened by time.
A grounded commitment, without speeches. Beauty as a responsibility.
Bespoke & collaborations
A piece that carries meaning, beyond ornament
A special order, a bespoke piece, an artistic collaboration or a professional request: every project receives the same care. I will reply to you personally.
